After more than 8 years of providing Calgary Stampeders and CFL fans a home for open, honest and sometimes competitive discussion, I have made the decision it is time for this chapter to close. Sadly, with this new world we live in, the lack of a CFL season this year, technical issues, plus some personal matters - this is the right choice for the site.
StampsFans was born from the need for a true fan forum that was active, well designed, moderated fairly and truly looked after. I built the site as our previous hangout for fans had been let go and run into disarray for far too long; so in 2012 with a new jersey launch right around the corner something had to be done. I had a lot of help getting things up and running at the beginning with some fantastic fans from the old site chipping in to really jump start the site and hit the ground running. The site has seen some changes throughout the years, but the idea of having a modern, well designed and easy to use site for all Stamps and CFL fans has always remained the priority and I believe we achieved that.
I want to personally thank everyone who has been a member of the site and contributed to our success. I won’t go through all the names, but there are several long timers who have made our run a truly great time and I thank you guys and gals for that. A special thanks to Terry, (most of you know him as Tundra Mustang), he’s been with the site since Day 0 and has been nothing but a great member, moderator, administrator and friend. He’s a true Stampeders fan, CFL guru and all around fantastic guy that has helped myself and the site countless times - thanks for everything Terry.
