I didn't know he was a FA. If we can bring in damaged goods like JoLo then why not a guy like Baggs who we know can play? If the price is right, do it.

I'm all for having him come in and win a spot. Maybe he'll have a chip on his shoulder and work his butt off to prove last year was an aberration. Honestly though, I think playing opposite John Chick made him look better than he was. But even so, our pass rush from the defensive line couldn't be much worse than it was last year so anything is worth a shot. Plus the prospects of him getting to stick it to the Riders several times a year has to be pretty tantalizing.

Yeah, agreed. I'd rather see him here than Lobendahn. The guy will never finish the season.

Would be interesting to understand why Hufnagel doesn't sign him to a tryout deal. He can definitely play in this league and the fact there is NFL interest in him is a good indicator of that. Sure would like to see him invited to camp at least.

I think he'd be worth a look as well.

But maybe they think they're already out on a limb with "J-Lobes".

If any of these veterans should go down for the count while under contract, subject to insurance, the Stampeders are on the hook.

See, dreams do come true if you wish hard enough.
