Based on stats and viewing TSN hi-lites it appears the Bombers are knee deep in certain categories and somewhat thin in others. THE DEEP Defensive Backs & Running backs - bombers have imports Chad Simpson, incumbent Chris Garrett & last nite's top boy, Deroiz in addition to Anthony Woodson the canuck. I suspect we'll have to keep 2 imports (one on ST or practice roster) plus Woodson seems rather automatic. Thus, one guy will be free to roam the land, looking for employment and either S'Sacks or Montreal seem the place to go (or trade). However, import RBs as the saying goes are a dime a dozen so I suspect nobody is gonna give much for a promising RB. At DB the bombers are also very strong. Too strong, in fact. Lots of ballers, athletic, speedballs, good tacklers, punishing hitters. Probably 8 guys who could start in the backfield of CFL squads, thats imports, so the bombers start a canuck at safety they have 4 import starters. What goes down with the 4 solid guys who don't get starting spots. One guy will always bolt when he gets pizzed off he wasn't chosen, 1 guy will agree to go practice roster, 1 guy inevitably will get injured and 1 guy probably gets offered up in a trade package. Bombers need more experience on their o-line, Pierce is a windshield ready to get hit by flying turkeys. Mack can call up his U.S. contacts but adding more american linemen creates a roster dilemna. He's already up to 2 OT imports. If he adds a guard or centre then he's burning 3 import spots on his o-line. Thats all fine if you're getting guys like Dick Huffman, Frank Rigney, Bill Frank or Bob Lueck - but they're only rostering mediocres like Don January, Andre Douglas. Bomber ??????'s are in no particular order: 1. Buck's health, 2. 0line, 3. Canuck MLB, 4. Canuck depth at WR It appears one thing was determined last night. Either Jade Etienne (our 1st round pick last year) was not dressed or the bombers have totally lost confidence in him and are preparing Jade's release.
