Blue Bombers have evidently asked and been granted permission to speak to both Rider QB coach Khari Jones and Argo assistant Mike O'Shea about the bomber vacant head coaching position. This according to WFP columnist Gary 'Fathead' Lawless. Fathead thinks Khari is the guy while bomber shoeshine shill Bob 'Snitch' Irving thinks Bombers are going for O'Shea.

Problem with O'SHea is that he's too honest in a brutal type of way. Once he lands in Wpg. he'd be so frank asking Wad Miller where the bombers found half the vermin and trash on their roster. Under rocks, perhaps? Bombers 55+ roster is stocked with a preponderance of garbage. No one in the bomber bunker wants to hear this - they can hear it from an outsider from myself but if they hear it from a 20 year guy like O'Shea, WATCH OUT. FIREWORKS. Even coaching by-product like Jeff Reinbold, Mike Kelly and Honest Tim Burke kept the bombers dirty little secret (inferior personnel, inferior scouting) a secret.

Miller has also asked to speak with Ticats Dan McManus about the Bombers Assistant GM position. That one makes sense. Maybe not to McManus, though. He seems capable of finding 9 to 12 good players a year. But finding 20-25 or more might be asking the impossible.

    Interesting news, Bronks.

For once, it appears that Stampeders' coaching personnel are off somebody's radar...;)

Speaking of Reinbold and K. Jones, aren't you thrilled to see your bomber alumni in the big game Sunday? And with plop likely to give us a full description of plays he never would have dreamed up in his coaching lifetime

Its almost brings me to tears when Reinbold was stripped of his dignity and asked NOT to wear his earrings during games.

Gotta go with my old homeboys Khari Jo and the little man who runs the riders, who they say has the fashion sense "of a troll".... Brendan Taman - - - who had the proverbial boots put to his head when Lyle Bauer rounded up his old drinkin' buddy Mike 'Rob Ford' Kelly. Taman almost had a nervous breakdown, fled to his home base in Sask'n before taking a job with the riders which in turn has lead to his becoming a really really good GM. Lowest paid GM in the league but a happy man (heck, Brenda would work for the same pay as the average winnipeg dirty cop, around $85k)
