Bronko gets his wish finally as the axe drops on both.
Wade Miller will take over as CEO but no indication of a new GM has been made yet.
So how many contracts does that mean the Big Blue are now lugging around like a proverbial 'dead albatross'?
Those guys are gonna need to build and fill a park twice as big as IG Field just to pay off the their burgeoning contractual obligations...
Not sayin' "Mack the Knifed" didn't deserve his fate....just concerned about how this will affect that club's financial viability on an ongoing basis...
Things in Winnipeg are a mess. Everyone that has worked on with a dysfunctional board in the past will understand it. The delays and long discussion on every topic slow down the process. Too many options and opinions don't exactly flow well with a $20 million a year business. There needs to be a final decision made and lived with.
On the bright side here's a potential candidate for the new opening as General Manager as reported by CFL News.

Bronko died and gone to heaven. Sad that we never met.
His purpose in this life has now been fulfilled and his time is done - he was a great member here.
As Emperor of Manitoba Dancing Gabe opined yesterday "ITS MILLER TIME!"
Indeed. Wad Miller has arrived, Mack has been smackd and Butchko got butchered!
Garth evidently resignd but with a settlement package, 2.66 yrs left at nearly $400,000/yr. Mack had this year and next, or 1.6 yrs at around $310 to $350k.
Bombers have to pay back 4.5 mill. a year to govt. but expect Wad's first order of bidnss to beg forgiveness on the loan package for at least 3 yrs or until Selinger (current premier) has left his post...
my bad. bronko will only die and go to heaven when the cup returns to manitoba. this was more of a 'i've seen the light' moment.
Then it appears Bronks is immortal.
You hear that Morris? You're going to live forever!
And things get weirder:
been 10 years we haven't seen a 1-17 team.
Acting CEO Wade Miller has named Kyle Walters the Acting GM. Says he's going to be a top candidate for the full time job at the end of the year.
Also they brought in Sandro DeAngelis to kick for them.
Winnipeg has an interesting future ahead of them. Right now I think the RedBlacks are the more stable of the two franchises.
Lots of acting going on.
An interesting if not pedestrian article out of Winnipeg. This is a pretty easy statement to make and some will take it at face value. It would be nice to see some examples but without the wire taps it'd be a hard sell.
Story goes a lot of people who met Joe Mack got him confused for another old grey ghost - Barry Weiss of Storage Wars. I'd say there's a bit of resemblance - however where they match is both are quite good at buying lockers full of raw sewage!
