I'm excited to see what a healthy Bulcke can do over the course of a full season. I think he should prove to be a great steal (thanks Tillman). While I don't expect him to be as noticeable or disruptive as Corey Mace, if he plays up to his potential he should be a very solid player, and perhaps more importantly, do great things for our ratio. Worst case scenario I think we're looking at another Miguel Robede, a solid rotational player but nothing more.
I still think Bulcke should be more than that though. The only clear cut front runner I see is Corey Mace but that still leaves one DT spot and I think Bulcke's nationality gives him a leg up on the competition.
The other possible role I see him settling into is as Corey Mace's primary backup. That way they can make that spot all Canadian and when Mace needs a breather Bulcke can step in and still play at a high level.
It should make for an interesting battle.
