    Regular Season Week 3 - Game 9
Calgary (1-1, 0-1 on the road) at Montreal (1-1, 1-0 at home)
    Date: Thursday July 12th
    Time: 7:30pm local / 5:30 Calgary Time
    TV/Radio: TSN / QR77 (Calgary) / CJAD (Montreal) / ESPN3 (USA)

Kicking off Week 3 on a Thursday night! We've got the injury replacement Kevin Glenn making his first start in Calgary colors. How much will it change the Calgary offense? We'll see early on in this match up.

Big match up for the game will be pitting an offensive line that has only given up 1 sack against the Calgary new fangled pass rush. Who wins that battle on the LOS?

Thanks to a big Week 2 Larry Taylor is the League Leader in Combined Yards with 587 yards. Rob Maver is the League's leading punter with 48.7 yards per punt. Nik Lewis leads non-kickers in scoring with 20 points. Calgary also has scored the most points in the League with 74 and leads with the most first downs with 46.

    Calgary Leaders:
Passing - Drew Tate 30 of 41 passing for 363 yards with 2 TDs and 2 INTs 95.9 passer rating
Rushing - Jon Cornish 25 carries for 125 yards with 2 TDs
Receiving - Nik Lewis 19 catches for 200 yards with 3 TDs
Tackles - Malik Jackson and Demetrice Morley with 10 hits
Special Teams Tackles - Kenny Pettway and Akwasi Antwi with 4
Sacks - Charleston Hughes and Demetrice Morley with 1
    INTs - 3 Stampeders have 1

Congrats on your 1000th post. Time for football. I leave straight from work at 6PM. Public transit.

according to the ticketmaster map i've estimated 3000 available seats for tonight's game. We'll see the final tally.

    Predictions?

Overall, a close game, with Calgary winning by 3 or less.

Glenn will be good for 200 yards and at least 2 INT's.

QR77 is working hard to have their broadcast ready to go for the 4:00 pre-game show.

It's nice he addressed it directly to our site. :D

Gonna say it's a wild one tonight. A Thursday + they played a couple weeks ago + the Emry hit on Tater Tot = chaos in the first quarter.

Going with 85 total points and a Montreal last drive win that makes Molson Stadium erupt.

There's the difference between Matt Dunigan and Milt Stegall.

Matt says "Of course he's playing! It's week 3 of the season everybody's banged up a bit."

Milt says "He needs to take time off to heal"

The CFL was perfect for Milt. Short days in meetings, time to work on your own, only a curfew on game day.

Calgary makes a defensive spot to start the game. Forcing Whitaker inside and stopped in his tracks.

Followed by a less than stellar offensive series. 2 incomplete passes and a procedure penalty.

And that's how you punt to your coverage's strengths. Nicely done Rob. Won't help the average any but makes the D smile.

For those that don't know Rob has been coaching HS punters/place kickers in Calgary. There's some good ones on the way up.

So a lot of plays but the Montreal offense doesn't go anywhere. 2 penalties, 1 run, 1 pass = a conceded safety. I hate that play.

    Calgary 2 Montreal 0

Lots of targeted passes towards Forzani. No catches yet but lucky that wasn't picked off.

Maver boots it and Montreal takes a chance with the bounce. Goes into the endzone and the Als trade a point for field position.

Already at 200 views. Come on y'all finish your supper and post some comments on this game.

Calvillo hits the turf again. Bourke out for a play or two. Oh he's on the field that means he's off for 3 at least.

What a play. Rolling after the catch.

    Straw poll:
    Was he touched or no?

I think it was a hurdle gone wrong for Eric Fraser. Then Butler shoved him into the endzone. Should've tried to angle it although this way it's a free challenge as they review every scoring play.
