Calgary Stampeders' Fred Bennett not recognized with all-star nod
If there’s one play that defines the Calgary Stampeders’ season, it’s the one Fred Bennett made on a warm July evening.
To jog the memory, Bennett chased down Montreal Alouettes return-man Noel Devine and punched the ball loose 12 yards short of the endzone, resulting in a touchback.
The play turned the Week 4 game around.
Stamps GM/head coach John Hufnagel has even mentioned it as a possible season-changing play.

Stamps QB Glenn looks for new targets
In the first two months of the season, Kevin Glenn looked Nik Lewis’ way when the Calgary Stampeders needed a key first down.
When Lewis went down in mid-August, Glenn turned to Marquay McDaniel to move the chains, and the fifth-year slotback responded with a career year.
Now, after McDaniel was carried off the BC Place turf in the regular-season finale with a severely sprained ankle, both chain-movers are sidelined.
Time to move on to Plan C.

    Stamps await West Final foe
To a man, the Calgary Stampeders will on Sunday pull up a comfy chair, settle in with some snacks and watch a couple of good football teams beat on each other for 60 minutes.
    That’s the hope, anyway.
“Ah man, should be a good game,’’ agreed Stamps’ defensive back Fred Bennett. “Two well respected teams in this league … I’m looking for some excitement.’’
