Calgary Stampeders clinch home playoff date with CFL win over Edmonton Eskimos
The Calgary Stampeders will play a home playoff game.
They just can’t print the date of the game yet.
It was far from awe-inspiring but the Stamps did enough to get past their provincial rivals Friday night in Edmonton.
Stamps rookie receiver Jeff Fuller hauled in four balls for 75 yards in his CFL debut, and slotback Marquay McDaniel had another solid night with 77 yards and a touchdown as the visitors rolled to a 27-13 victory at Commonwealth Stadium.

Stamps Quickhitters: Jon Cornish keeps churning
It was a quiet night by Jon Cornish’s standards.
Not a single broken record — unless you count the two that he is continually adding to every time he touches the ball.
But he is closing in on a pretty major mark.
Cornish rushed for 145 yards Friday in Edmonton and now sits 206 yards back of Willie Burden’s club record (1,896 yards in 1975).
Burden carried the rock for the Stamps from 1974 to ’81.

Glenn reaches milestone as Stamps beat Esks, clinch home playoff date
Sometimes, the best trades are the ones where you don’t pull the trigger — the ones that die at the boardroom table or collapse due to the lack of a return phone call from the other team.
Rejection isn’t always a bad thing.
The Calgary Stampeders considered trading Kevin Glenn to Winnipeg last winter due to their embarrassment of riches at quarterback with Drew Tate and Bo Levi Mitchell also in the stable.

One Step Closer: Stamps do their part in hunt for West title
The Calgary Stampeders clinched a home playoff date as they swept the season series with Edmonton with a 27-13 win over the Eskimos Friday night at Commonwealth.
A win by the BC Lions on Saturday over Saskatchewan will lock up the West Division for the Stamps.
It was a landmark evening for veteran Calgary starter Kevin Glenn who moved into 10th place on the CFL’s all-time passing list, surpassing Tom Clements who had 39,041 yards in 182 games. Glenn entered Friday with 39,016 yards and achieved the feat with a pass to Jon Cornish out of the backfield.
The pass helped the Stampeders put the first points of the game on the board, setting up a 26-yard Rene Paredes field goal for a 3-0 first-quarter lead.
Glenn finished the night 16 of 26 for 237 yards and 1 touchdown.

Stampeders add to Eskimos’ misery, clinch home playoff game
Jamar Wall’s blocked punt touchdown return proved to be the difference as the Calgary Stampeders clinched a home playoff game with a 27-13 victory over the hapless Edmonton Eskimos on Friday night.
It was the fourth win in a row for the league-leading Stampeders (13-3), who can clinch first place in the CFL’s West Division with a B.C. win over Saskatchewan on Saturday.
