    Stadium Series: New turf

New FieldTurf was installed at McMahon Stadium prior to the start of the 2014 season.

    King of the Field winner
At halftime of Saturday's game, Elizabeth Wong won a Dodge Ram 1500 through the King of the Field contest.

Stamps/Cornish Still The Top of the Class

The Stampeders ran their way to another win over the weekend and the running game was a big part of that. Scott Mitchell joined The Big Show to talk about another dominant performance by Jon Cornish.

Bo Levi Mitchell angling to return to the starting QB post on Friday

The talk makes sense to Bo Levi Mitchell the football observer. It just didn’t quite add up to Bo Levi Mitchell the football player.
Just rest up one more week, some have said to the Calgary Stampeders quarterback. There is a bye week following Friday’s visit to Regina to face the Saskatchewan Roughriders, so that would give him a full month off to recover from knee and ankle injuries.

Stamps notes: Cornish starts the trash talk ahead of showdown with rival Riders
They have suited up 73 times together, often working side by side in the Calgary Stampeders secondary.
But Saturday’s victory over the B.C. Lions was one of those rare games for defensive backs Keon Raymond and Brandon Smith.
For only the second time in their long tenure with the Stamps, the pair of great friends had interceptions in the same game. The last time was back on July 14, 2011 in a win over the Montreal Alouettes.

Calgary Stampeders QB Bo Levi Mitchell says he's ready to return
Two days, two quarterbacks, one decision for Calgary Stampeders GM/head coach John Hufnagel to make.
Bo Levi Mitchell, idle for two straight weeks with duelling left leg injuries to his knee and ankle, proclaimed himself ready to return Monday evening, as the Stamps returned to the practice field for the first time since outlasting the B.C. Lions by a 14-7 margin Saturday at McMahon Stadium.

Calgary Stampeders trash-talk caught on tape
If there’s any doubt Fred Bennett caught the attention of the B.C. Lions, all you have to do is roll the tape.
As Lions linebacker Solomon Elimimian, the CFL’s tackling leader by a wide margin, was sidling up to TSN’s Jermain Franklin for a quick interview heading into halftime Saturday night at McMahon Stadium, the pair exchanged words while Elimimian was on camera.

Stampeders notebook -- QB Bryant Moniz hopes to turn over new leaf
Bryant Moniz knows the first 11 yards of his run were perfect.
The 12th yard? Not so much.
On a designed quarterback run in the second quarter of Saturday’s 14-7 CFL win over the B.C. Lions, the Calgary Stampeders rookie quarterback, who had taken over short-yardage duties with Bo Levi Mitchell sidelined, sliced up the middle, picked up a first down ... and then simply dropped the football.
