Calgary Stampeders News Roundup - July 13, 2013

    MUST WATCH: Sinopoli One-Handed Snag
Quarterback-turned-receiver Brad Sinopoli makes an incredible one-handed grab for a 41-yard gain in Week 3 against the Alouettes.

The Calgary Stampeders took the lead at the end of the second quarter and never looked back, picking up a 22-14 victory on the road.

Both Calgary and Montreal were coming off disappointing losses last week at the hands of the Roughriders and Blue Bombers respectively.

Brad Sinopoli could have folded in his tent last year and walked away from the game he loves when he was cut from the Calgary Stampeders last season.

No Tate, no problem for Glenn and Stampeders
Backup quarterback Kevin Glenn and quarterback-turned-receiver Brad Sinopoli had a lot to smile about after leading the Calgary Stampeders to victory.

Glenn, filling in for the injured Drew Tate, passed for 268 yards and hit Nik Lewis for a touchdown pass. Sinopoli made five grabs in his debut as a receiver as the Stampeders downed the struggling Montreal Alouettes 22-14 on Friday night.

Sinopoli shines in debut as receiver
Brad Sinopoli sounded every bit the quarterback Friday when asked to describe his debut as a receiver in the Canadian Football League.

On a night where he made a highlight-reel 42-yard grab with his right hand – a play that will no doubt go down as one of THE catches of the year – Sinopoli wanted to talk about the Stampeders as a whole after a 22-14 victory over the Montreal Alouettes.

Glenn comes up big in Montreal
Nik Lewis waltzed by Kevin Glenn in the middle of the starting quarterback's live post-game interview on Calgary radio and couldn't help but throw a jab.

This streak’s got legs -- Calgary Stampeders kicker Rene Paredes rolls on
It’s been a long time since Rene Paredes missed a field goal.

It’s been so long, not many people remember when it was.

Stamps win in Sinopoli's spectacular debut
To say Brad Sinopoli fit right in would be a lie.

Sinopoli, playing his first CFL game as a wide receiver, stood out.
