vs Regular Season Week 8 Calgary (3-3, 2-1 at home) vs Toronto (3-3, 1-2 on the road) Date: Saturday August 18th Time: 5:00 Calgary Time TV/Radio: TSN / Calgary Radio / Toronto Radio / ESPN3 (USA) Showdown in Cowtown! It's the return of Jim Barker and Chris Jones which is always a fun time. Calgary had 3 of the 4 player of the week awards last week thanks to the game play against Hamilton. They will be hard pressed to repeat that. Last week Calgary had 233 rushing yards on 30 carries and only 141 passing yards on 28 pass attempts. Toronto got rolled by BC's defense and Cory Boyd got a free trip to Edmonton out of the deal. Chad Kackert will look to take the bulk of the carries and pick up a few blocks for Ricky Ray. Not that Toronto is new to change, the last time they played in Calgary it was Cleo Lemon as the starting QB. Notes: Johnny Forzani is 31 yards away from reaching 1000 for his career. Lifetime Calgary is 26-14 against Toronto when playing in Cowtown. Calgary is averaging almost 3 points a game more than they did in 2011 (31.0 to 28.4) Calgary Leaders: Passing - Kevin Glenn 105 of 156 passing for 1249 yards with 7 TDs and 4 INTs Rushing - Jon Cornish 72 carries for 369 yards with 4 TDs Receiving - Nik Lewis 43 catches for 484 yards with 7 TDs Tackles - Juwan Simpson with 28 hits Special Teams Tackles - Deron Mayo and Karl McCartney with 7 Sacks - Charleston Hughes and Chris McCoy with 2 INTs - Quincy Butler with 2
as i said i'll be out tonight watching soccer. looking forward to a great read on my return. Goooo Stamps!
Time for the Stamps to finally stand up & kick some Argo ass. Just go out, be focused & punt those guys back to Toronto.
I hope the game is on television. I gave up my ticket to the game today. Just got back from holidays. Drove 2,500 miles the past 2 days & my foot is still sore. I am still a bit tired. Don't want to do a lot of walking on it... My wife is still going but I said no. Besides, I absolutely hate games on Saturday in the summer at 5 pm. These late afternoon start times are the worst & one of the reasons I don't buy season tickets anymore. Thanks to TSN which only caters to the "millions & millions" of fans down east. Can't start the games 2 pm or at 7 pm. Just keep screwing the fans east of Winnipeg. After two hard days on the road eating all kinds of fast food along the highway, I want to stay home & have a nice dinner. So, home I will stay.
Post my response... So he has a big leg. There's a reason why this isn't a common occurence. Pressure plus if he misses it could be returned all the way for a TD. Think Milanovich will try one from 60 with Larry Taylor returning?? Not likely. The downside of a long miss is too risky to try against us unless the Argos have no choice.
Waters has a monster leg. Argos can kick from half all night long. You may not see it but warming up from there will also mean big things on the kickoffs too. Watch out! 8 point TDs when they have the wind behind them. TD + PAT + kickoff rouge Young man from Mississippi! Home grown!
This is just your typical Stamps stinker vs Argos. Our OL has got to change. None of the starters deserve playing time.
Kevin Dregg must be having his prototypical D- or F game; only 6 pts with 5 min. left. #15 is doing his mini-me imitation, only mini-me is about a quarter inch taller..... How's Obby doing? (spent the last four hours in a hospital) Hey Lyle! Are good seats still available? lol
Spending four hours in a hospital or watching Kevin Dregg and the Stamps? About a toss-up, tonite! Deuvy was lucky to have a spot at the separatiste pep rally!
Plop Ball much more exciting than watching paint dry (Huffer's offense and Toronto all around, cept for Owens)
Hey Lyle - maybe you should bring in your infamous triumvirate of coaching viruses to fix what ails the stamps - ie. Maggot Kelly, Lapolice & Doogeyman Berry...
Hey Lyle - we'll trade you Brokedown Buck to replace Kevin Koffee Dreggs and throw in Jovonless Johnson to boot.... what can ya offer us?
