For those for whom the suspense is just too much to bear, we bring you these media nuggets:

    CBC Sports:

    1. CALGARY STAMPEDERS [Unchanged]
    Overall record: 14-3
    Streak: Won 5

The hyped showdown between running backs Jon Cornish and Kory Sheets (109 to 42 yards in favour of the former) turned into an old-fashioned, 1960s snot-knocker of a contest that featured both club's defences. Truth to tell, if the Stampeders defence hadn't been so stalwart in the first half, those three fumbles the White Stallions committed in their own end would have ended this game early. Overall, they had seven sacks. Calgary came out of this one with a huge advantage, thanks to an 11-of-16 performance by QB Drew Tate in second-half relief of Kevin Glenn (11-17, 1 TD, 1 INT). This means head coach John Hufnagel, who honestly couldn't give a damn if the media and fans want to call this a "controversy," can leave who starts up in the air heading for the West Division final, forcing the opposition to prepare for both men. And if one isn't going well, the other can come in.

    Hangin' in there, Jayman! :)

All they gotta do is hold on for one more week, and the lofty (and highly coveted) 7th spot is indisputably theirs! :D

Anything the Blue can do to cheat themselves out of 2nd pick overall. A flukey bomber win in a garbage game and an Edmonton loss will do the trick....

    ...and another nugget:

    TSN.ca:

This Week 1 Last Week 1 Calgary Stampeders 14-3

For the first time since Kory Sheets proclaimed himself the better back than Jon Cornish, the two met head-to-head and Cornish let his play do the talking. Cornish ran for 109 yards and one touchdown to Sheets’ 42 yards as Calgary clinched first in the West Division with the win. His Week 18 performance should solidify the Most Outstanding Player award for the Stamps running back.

    and one more:

    CFL.ca:

    1 Calgary Stampeders (14-3-0)
    Change: Even

The battle of the running back was almost as big as the playoff implications but Jon Cornish was one of the difference makers in a late Calgary comeback. Cornish sealed the game with a powerful run in close and in doing so, clinched not only the West Division but the league's top record. The only question mark for the Stamps is who will start at QB in the playoffs?

    And I guess that's it! :D

Playoff results will determine the "final" rankings now... ;)

are there no Somolian Pirates in Winnipeg to be dealt with this week that may lead to some league suspension and forfeit? but then first pick would probably be forfeited as well.
