I'll be at the Carabins game. This should be an interesting test for Danny M. your favorite head coach of all time. ;)

Concordia needs a strong first half to have a hope of winning. My favorite coach ever will be wearing a Fischer Price headset that doesn't have batteries in it.

Dinos up 35-0 at the very end of the 2Q. U of A isn't a good squad...

Sherbrooke is up 37-0 over McGill right now. in the 3Q. It's a lopsided night.

48-10 Montreal. Glad I skipped it.

46-16 Sherbrooke. McGill may have a shot at Mount Allison.

The closest CIS game last night was a 29 point win. A 4 possession game at the best of times. The Dinos vs Golden Bears game was an 8 possession game. Ugly.

that super league idea in the CIS is looking good right about now or we could call it first division then you have second division. Laval could easily cover the costs of travel, if only others could too. You'd have more people attending those high quality games. 5,000 at the Carabins and 6,700 at Sherbrooke isn't chump change.

Unless they ditch the CIS and create something with smarter rules/set up going 2 divisions won't work. Truthfully having 26 schools involved in it makes 2 divisions nearly impossible.

That said mixing up the conferences could be beneficial. Go to 5 football only conferences from coast to coast 5 schools in 4 of them and 6 schools in 1. Drop the stupid home-home series that 3 of the 4 current conferences have now and make non-conference play a reality.

Of course then Manitoba goes out and beats Saskatchewan.

    ok that made sense.not.

they could have the top ontario teams play the top quebec and maritime team at least in a first division eastern conference and the lower rungs do the same and each year like in soccer the best second division team moves up and the worst first divsion team goes down. The west would stay the same seeing as no one wants to go there. :D

No you can't legitimately handle promotion and relegation in a league with age limits. Teams with a roster full of 4th and 5th year players will have a good season and then graduate to leave a team behind a young team. Some schools will end up in a cycle of overachieving in the lower level to be followed by underachieving in the upper level and constantly bouncing back and forth.

Bishop's sure made me eat my words in spite of the loss but then again McGill did the same last year and still finished 0-8.
