    Prior to last training camp, LaMarcus Coker spent the winter bulking up.

    The Calgary Stampeders running back suffered through an injury plagued rookie season, so he added 20 lb. of muscle and reported to camp at 200 lb.

    But he didn’t get the results he was looking for.

    So, he spent this off-season doing something different.

    “Slimming down,” Coker said.

    “Last year, I came in and tried to play at 200 (pounds).

    “This year, I’m coming in to play at around 185.”

    The 26-year-old ended his rookie campaign with two dozen carries for 234 yards.

    Those numbers decreased to just 146 yards on 21 totes last season.

    “I’ve gotten back to my younger days,” Coker said. “I feel faster now than I did last year.
