Reports out of Toronto - Barker trying to re-sign Zachary Collaros to a new contract. Collaros is ready to enter free agency early 2014.

    Whats up wid dis?

According to Gary the Monster (Lawless) Barker is trying to control Collaros future and be able to present a tradeable asset to the Bombers, complete with a 2 + 1 contract. That way Barks gets real value for Collaros.

Now I ask. Why the hay would Collaros and his agent want to limit his salary ceiling and choice of teams (or leagues for that matter)???

If Zach stays un-signed he can saddle up with any team once Free Agency hits. Correct?

And since CFL contracts aren't guaranteed whats the leverage does Colonel Barker have?

Aw c'mon, let Barker do a bit of tinkering to get paid back for training Zach under Milanovich, Brady and
Ray. ..... We could take Henoc off their hands. :)

Probably a SMS issue. Signing him before the end of the year puts the signing bonus into this year's numbers. Signing prior to expansion draft likely means they've already talked to Ottawa.
