To me, Cornish was the obvious choice for at least Outstanding Canadian, despite the lobbying by former Stampeders DB Greg Frers, who was carrying the torch for Andrew Harris to be named the West's nominee for MOC:

Frers would have named Cornish the MOP nominee and would have substituted Harris in at MOC.

That would have left Cornish to fend for himself at MOP up against Chad Owens (who will doubtless win the award after having now bested Pinball Clemons' 15 year old record for combined yards gained).

Instead, Corndog should now at least come away with MOC hardware during Grey Cup week...;)

No way Emry beats Sherritt or Cornish. Owens the likely MOP but full credit to Cornish for making it.

Too bad for Tsoumpas, Olafioye will probably get the nod.

Surprised Owens didn't get speacial teams so Ticats should get some consolation in Williams while the Bombers should win with Matthews.

Owens gets MOP.. Cornish MOC. Williams had the better year as a returner vs Owens. all those TD's swayed the vote his way and he deserves it.

The awards are always difficult to predict, but I would bet my house on JC getting MOC.

Harris would not get half his receiving yards if the Lions had Nik Lewis on their team.
