The Penguins have announced that they will resign Crosby (whose current contract expires after the upcoming season) to a monstrous 12 year pact.

The total value of the deal will be a cool $104.4 million, which actually is a pretty reasonable figure for the Penguins and will only look better and better with each passing season.

The cap hit per season for #87? A very fitting $8.7 million, unchanged from from his last contract.

    Hometown discount anyone?

As per rules of the CBA, the deal cannot be made official until July 1st.
