Deane eager to step into action

This Saturday’s meeting with the B.C. Lions is a big game for the Calgary Stampeders, but it could be potentially huge for one of their players.

If left guard Steve Myddelton, who suffered a knee injury in Wednesday’s practice and missed Thursday’s session, can’t suit up, then J’Micheal Deane would take his place in the starting lineup.

Deane has been out of action since a horrific broken leg in Toronto last October. The injury required surgery and massive recovery. For nearly two months, the rookie was on crutches.

So dressing in a regular season game again would complete the comeback.

Deane's a great kid and a real character guy, and I'm certainly looking forward to seeing him get an opportunity as a starter at LG against the Lions!

I sure hope he's ready to play & for crying out loud KEEP HIM OFF THE DEFENSIVE LINE!!!
