Overall I'm impressed with the picks the Stamps made this year. I hope Ameet Pall will provide a push up the middle on the D-Line. DB depth is allways a good thing. We can never have to many O-Line.

I really hope some of these guys can impact ST as well. We really need someone to fill Cornish's role on ST.

Great article on Pall from Al Cameron - really like his attitude and can't wait to see him in camp.

I kinda chuckle when I hear fans & the media say the Stamps have no real needs... We lost in the playoffs. We have lost in the playoffs every year since 2007 except for once. I don't think we are as good as we think we are & it concerns me if the Stamps went into this draft thinking they were set at every Canadian position. Drafting a DL first tells me that Huff knew one position that needs upgrading was DL.
Brian Bulcke hasn't shown much yet & who knows if Corey Mace can bounce back or if his achilles will make it through a full season. The boundary receiver position is a question mark. We still haven't found someone who could really replace Ryan Thelwell at that position. Our OL could be better. Myddleton had a mostly down year. Deane had that broken leg. Will they bounce back? Bender & Gott are unproven. Spencer Wilson is still green.
To me, lots of questions. When we win 5 Grey Cups in a row like Edmonton did with the same core Canadian players then I'll say we have no needs. Untl then...

I think by saying we have no real need means we have good depth. Of course we need to improve in a few areas D-line being a big one. I hope Parker can become more active this year and help the recieving corps. Dewit should help in the center and who knows who we have coming from the US camps. I am really looking forward to this season as its a new look for this team. Will Tate be as good as we hope? How will the D look with a new system? Less than a month and we will start to see.

Well, we are a good team but not a great one yet. Just saying we have no real needs is not true. Depth, yes. We do have depth but we need to be a lot better than we are now.

While I think the Stamps could have done better, I think time will show that this was a solid draft for adding tremendous depth to our NI roster.

Adam Berger and Brad Erdos were not sexy big name picks, but they both bring something to the table. Wilkerson Desouza seems to have the right mentality for special teams, and I think Billy Peach will give us depth to maintain a strong OL after the expansion draft for Ottawa is completed. Mike Filer is scrappy and a hard worker, but is small and will have his work cut out for him to beat out other guys.

Keenan MacDougal and Ameet Pall will allow the Stamps to be more flexible with the ratio, and should work well in rotation with Eric Fraser and Junior Turner respectively. I didn't even know of Jordan Spence until I got Rids Draft Guide, so he is a mystery to me.

Tell me how you did that, please?? Looks like Berger can play safety or OLB.

Jordan Spence is an interesting kid. Bumped from Oregon to Portland State before ending up at Eastern Oregon. He was a NAIA Academic All-American there but didn't generate a lot of numbers.

What makes a player go from Oregon to Portland State to Eastern Oregon?
