Looks like the Bombers have finally found their new starting QB.

The Bombers have acquired QB Drew Willy in exchange for Canadian receiver Jade Etienne.

The Bombers then signed Willy to a 2 year deal keeping him away from free agency.

Bronko 's favorite receiver is now with the arch-rivals. Nice.

Drew Willy is a decent pick up and something to build with moving forward.

Rids I do not see it that way it is another young QB for them to ruin. They needed a veteran and then a young up coming QB. Is Willy ready for prime time? Not sure about that.

Drew is 27 years old and while he doesn't have a ton of CFL experience (8 games) he's hit the put up or shut up part of his career. This is his 6th year as a pro quarterback.

In comparison it was Travis Lulay's 6th pro season where he took the reigns of the Lions; 2012 was supposed to be Drew Tate's year and he started the season and it was his 6th pro season. For Drew Willy it's basically his opportunity to get a starting spot or continue on as a back up.

For Winnipeg there really isn't much else they can do besides bring in Buck Pierce again.

Which is why we are not likely to see bronks elsewhere but on Riderfans.
