Woke up at 5:30. Left the house by 6:30 Stopped by our warehouse and picked up some chemical by 8:00 Drove to just north of Conklin, AB by 3:00 Hung out for an hour with some people I work with and left at 4:30. Stopped at the new Cabelas in Edmonton at 8:50. Made it home at exactly 11:59pm, having driven 1420K total. And believe it or not, that's not even my record high. :s I drove from Kenora, ON to Calgary (1538K) one day. I left Kenora at 7:00am and made it to Calgary by 9:30, if I remember correctly.
Those are both crazy 1 day totals. I think my highest 1 day total is about 1400 from Calgary to Oakbank, MB. Last fall I did 2200 over 4 days driving around the Maritimes. Moncton to Fredericton to Saint John's to Moncton the first day, Moncton to Cavendish to Charlottetown to Moncton the next day, Moncton to Sackville, NB to Antigonish to Wolfville the next day, and finally Wolfville to Halifax to Moncton avoiding the toll roads the last day.
That's ugly. Did you cross the border or drive around. Driving around looks like it ads ~400 or 500K each way.
Yup. The new highway between NS and NB has a toll section or you can scenic route it like I did. I got stuck on a toll bridge in Halifax with no cash on that trip too. The nice lady recognized that I was obviously not a local and let me through. Why have toll bridges that don't have a card option I don't understand.
got very close to it after losing my way then drove into the dark scary woods. It was 2011 and I was listening to game 5 of the bruins double OT win over montreal on the radio. I went to see Lewiston play the Sea Dogs at Harbour Station arena.
That's nothing, SR. Two days ago, my wife & I drove from Weed, CA to Lake Tahoe, NV then on to Pocatello, ID. Easily a thousand miles.
