With a fifth loss in a row today and 7th straight to the Stamps, how long before Durant will be replaced? I'm only guessing by saying this but right now the fingers are being pointed at him by the Rider faithful for another loss. While penalties and discipline issues continue to make the game very interesting for Stamps fans, the turnover battle in games have cost the Riders big time. The question I ask: How much more patience does Chamblin have before he will make a change at QB?

Maybe all Durant needs is what BC did to Lulay last season and the threat of not starting?

Interesting how last season the Riders dismissed Marshall and Durant in not so many words threw that regime with Doug Berry under the proverbial bus. What is his excuse this year?

Rider management is playing out the 5 straight losses with a stiff upper lip and a stern refusal to show signs of panic. Are they play-acting?
If they sweep Winnipeg they're back in full play (probably 70% chance)
If they split Winnipeg they're trailing but still hopeful (probably 20% chance)

If Winnipeg sweeps them then the executioner will be ordered with Taman's next order of Subs & Pizzas (10% chance)

Who have they got with any CFL experience behind him? Drew Willy?? The Riders best chance to win is with Durant & he will start every game the remainder of the year.

Durant is either too stupid or too durable to not produce that classic CFL trick - getting injured and still getting paid.

For references - see, Pierce, Buck (Winnipeg)

Tait to Calgary for Durant and Dressler.

I'd do that. Even give the Riders a 2nd or 3rd round draft pick to top it up plus a quality reserve Canadian receiver like Bryant or the tall kid.

Rider fans have a ton of disorganized lynch mobs going right now. The targets seem to be

    1. Booby Dyce - consensus pick to get released.
    2. Richie Hall - although Riders D is keeping them in games right now
    3. Brenda Taman, Hop-a-long Hopson (tie)
    4. Champ (Chamblin)
    5. Garth Buchko

Chamblin's big problem is he didn't come in as a humble head coach but a trash talking coach which just seemed to fit in with the culture of that team since Shivers hired Barrett in 2000. Just can't do his job like a pro the way Huff & Trestman do. Now, it's all coming back on him. Maybe he'll learn from this & win a few games first before trash talking. But somehow, I doubt it. Never see Hufnagel or Trestman do what he was doing.

Huff and Trestman have both been to the super bowl. That's what puts them in a class by themselves.

True dat...... but Trestman and Huffer have very similar temperaments. Fairly cool and rarely to they explode into berserk displeasure. Neither has the kind of babyish rookie demeanour that pock-marked the career of coaching failures like Danny Macocia, Jeff Reinbold, Mike Kelly, Greg Marshall, Paul Lapolice.

Trestman and Huff make some basic assumptions before starting their coaching day. THey know that their 50 man rosters are each loaded with 3 to 7 predictable cancers, guys who were tossed out of NFL, not for lack of talent but more for not being men. These coaches also know that their teams are inevitably going to turn in a modicum of stinkers (games where they don't appear to be interested in playing).... however, racehorses look like champs one race and finish up the track the next. Same with golfers - look at Tiger Woods - worlds greatest for 12 years - now he's a glorified journeyman who can't put four great rounds together, same with Phil Mickelson.

Having 3 or 4 canadian players who can't really play more than a minute or so of ball doesn't bother the guys like Trest, Huff, etc. They accept it. The loser coaches never seem to understand and rail when an inferior player misses an assignment.

Usually when a coach gets fired the team responds and thats face it Winnipeg has not been as bad as their record indicates. They have just not found the way to win these close games. After watching the riders paly the last 5 games I would have to say they are the team that should worry over the next two games. Cory Chamblin needs to find a way to get the watermelon heads out of hot water. Remember it was Taman that picked Dice as the OC! This is the problem when a head coach does not get to pick his staff. Cory you going to get hung out to dry only because of the stupidity in upper management you can bet on that.

I'd be willing to bet that Durant would do well in George Cortez' offense.

Durant has an enormous boner for the bombers. If he had his druthers he'd probably love to play us all 18 games. He'll come up big for two reasons: 1. He always seems to and

    2. His CFL career might go into the dumper if he doesn't
