Carr will make a nice addition to ssk's receiving corps.

The Riders don't have a receiver who has the range of Carr. Why the Esks would trade him to a division rival? It just makes the Riders better. I swear I don't get Sonic. The man is all over the map with his deals. Maybe he can trade us JC Sherritt for futures.

When he wasn't injured he sucked on the field. Maybe he'll blossom in Regina. Also heavy cap hit at rumoured 120K. O'Donnell has great potential as a NI on the line. 6'9" and 340 lb. If he doesn't work out then we improved our draft position, saved 60K? by dumping someone not playing up to expectations.

Didn't Rosie (O'Donnell) try out for the Boston Celtics?

Anyways, just heard Brenda Taman on 1290TSN in Wpg and he said Carr wasn't working out with the Esk system while O'Donnell was a non-factor in Regina and didn't want to play in such a tiny town. Grinder-Sonic and BAT (Brendan Arturo Taman) were always good dance partners so the trend continues.

Brendan also said Carr won't be dressing for this weekend's game vs. Wpg.

Hussler & Don'tCallUs also forgot to ask Taman for a status report on Darian Durant. Nice going guys! lol

The cap savings wasn't 60k as Carr received some up front money. The cap savings is likely in the neighborhood of 20-30k.

The move was less about the finances and more about getting Henry back into the lineup.

For the Riders, they need the size and range of Carr - desperately. O'Donnell also incredibly raw. They were mocked mercilessly in the media for taking him in 2010 and then he had several statements about being too good and not wanting to come to the CFL.

There's a slim chance ODonell pans put but overall I love the deal for Saskatchewan.

O'Donnell had a workout with the Celtics and the Raptors before signing with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Back in December he signed a 2 year contract extension but was released on August 31st. (must be Joe Mack's fault)

Matt was twice named the OUA's best lineman, won the JP Metras Award as the CIS' best lineman and also played in the Shrine Bowl. Lots of upside but lots of work to be put in although spending 13 months with the Bengals likely puts him in a much better spot than when he left the CIS.

It certainly can't hurt the Riders that's for sure. I was wondering when you were going to join us Szark. Don't be a stranger....
