    Hello,
I am starting a free CFL fantasy football website and am hoping to get a few people on the league waiting list. The website is not done yet but when it is I will have it set as invite only.

If you are interested in being a part of a fantasy league, please join the waiting list at http://fantasycfl.com. You will receive an email invitation when your account is ready to be created.

If you're interested but don't want to commit please take a second to follow us on Twitter or Facebook. There is more information on our website, too.

    Hey Peter, welcome to StampsFans.

Tell us more about your site and proposed league. Any info on how things are going to be setup and run?

Your website doesn't work at all, so we can't reference that.

What part of Canada are you from? Stamps Fan by chance?

Whoops. I messed up when I was adding the link to the page. It is http://fantasycfl.com.

I am actually from Duluth, Minnesota. I am about 3 hours from the Canadian border and about 7 hours from Winnipeg.

The website that I am building will consist of several fantasy football leagues, each having 8 teams. In each league there will be a live online draft, player stats, a game center, and more basic fantasy football features. Rosters will consist of 17 players and 1 defense. Each week team owners will set their starting lineup with 9 players and their defense. More detailed information about the league is on the website. Check it out if you're interested.

Thanks for the additional info - but your links don't work at all for me.

That is strange. I double checked the links when I added them. What are you seeing when you click on a link? Maybe try entering http://fantasycfl.uni.me manually.

Doing a 3 second Google search on your free subdomain host, I won't be visiting your site and I recommend that none of our members visit it either. (I'm guessing that's why my Chrome isn't loading it)

You may want to conduct some research as well and rethink the service you are using.

Not sure if you've run Fantasy CFL leagues in the past with this format but I would suggest a couple tweaks.

I ran one in the past and when the rosters get too large (we had 13 per team in a 4 team league and it was too much if you had a QB injury) it can drain the fun out of the league because once you have an injury it's nearly impossible to replace the player with something of any value. This past year I think if a team was forced to choose between playing with the Hamilton D or going without that they'd go without.

I would suggest unless you're allowing multiple teams to have the same players to cap the leagues at 6 teams and then organize the rosters with 8 active players each week (QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, WR, K) + the defense. Then going with a small bench of 3 or 4.

I actually haven't run my own fantasy CFL league yet. Thanks for the suggestions. They make sense and I will modify the website's settings. It will now be 6 team leagues with 9 starters per week and 3 on the bench.

I think it's a move for the best! Great to see another source for Fantasy Football - Canadian style.
