Black Hawks win the Stanley Cup !!
Hawks snatch victory from jaws of defeat.
Talk about a clutch performance! Going into Boston & doing that? Unreal. Watching those 2 teams go at it it just drove home the fact how many light years the Flames are from ever competing & winning a Stanley Cup championship. Even with Iginla in the lineup the Flames could never play with that kind of intensity.
There's a ton of players from Boston & Chicago I'd take in playoff action vs. a playoff slacker like Jerome.
Toews, Crawford, Chara, Bergeron, Keith, Kane, Sharp, Hossa, Seabrook, Johnny Boychuk, Seidenberg, perhaps a couple more.
So does this solidify Marian Hossa as a Hall of Fame player?
4th Stanley Cup appearance, 2 Stanley Cup wins, 1999 NHL All Rookie Team, 5 NHL All Star games (11 points), 400+ goals, 500+ assists, 100+ playoff points.
The anti-Hossa crowd will pigeon-hole Hossa as riding Kane & Toews, Seabrook & Keith, Crawford & Quennville's coat-tails.
This year's SC ring - Hossa was nearly a broken man, barely able to take more than a 20 second shift. However, he was still better than what the Hawks had in the green room (black aces, minor league callups)
The 100+ playoff points is whats gonna get Hoss into the H of F. Like to see him go in at same time as Paul Henderson.
Hossa was probably the best Blackhawk in the Kings series. I didn't watch much of their games before that but he was on fire during those ones.
