Corkyville putting up a tough fight vs. Stamps tonite. Bo Levi seems a bit off on his long tosses - Durant is connecting on some of his long stuff. Stamps still up 4 at the half but its precarious!

Tennessee Corky is out for blood tonite!

Indeed it was. But Porky McCorky doesn't show any signs of quit in him - a trait that plagued the last couple years of the Taman/Champ Chamblin era.

That - and having their #1 QB half-way into the green casket.

Here's my updated western ratings for total wins:

    1. Calgary = 12 or 13
    2. BC - 10 or 11
    3. Edm - 10 or 11
    4. Wpg - 8 or 9
    5. Rat-riders - 6 or 7

In the end rat-rider fans will absolutely eat up 6 or 7 Ws - a wonderful improvement over last year's disturbing outcome.
Winnipeg will be happier than pigs in shyt with 8 or 9 wins
Edmonton fans will be somewhat distressed at 10 wins.
BC fans (if any survive) won't care one way or the other
Calgary fans will not stand for less than 12 wins.

In fact, if the Stampeders regress to 12 or 13 wins, for Calgary fans I think it will be a major disappointment on the season.

Nevertheless, as long as they win the division, "whatever it takes"...;)

Stampeders travel to Re-Gina on Friday. Should be no problem.

    You're right, Jason.

    It shouldn't.

On paper there shouldn't be much cause for concern.

But they don't play the games on paper...

I hope the boys in red don't let complacency set in.

Back to backs are tough to sweep, sometimes for that very reason.

And there's no love lost between Chris Jones and the Stampeders, and he'll have his charges ready

I expect the margin in this one to be a lot tighter than the 20 point spread we saw at McMahon last week.

Any update on the Rider's current ratio violation? BLM tweeted that the Riders are hiding players and using ineligible players in practises, etc, effectively preparing for injury and not using up roster space. The league replied that they are aware of the problem and investigating.

Chris Jones willing to cheat to win.....??? What??? I cant believe it...lol

I hope the league finds out the truth and set a precedent!

Interview on Edmonton radio with reporter from Regina whereby it was reported that Coach Jones has 95 players (roster players +) in and around Regina??? What, Jones cheats?? Who would have "thunk" it! ;)

Exactly, TM a back2 back win will be tough. Should be a tight game.

    Calgary Stampeders (4-1-1) @ Saskatchewan Roughriders (1-5)

Records be damned: Bo Levi Mitchell calling out the Riders for playing fast and loose with the roster rules adds a whole lot of intrigue to this game. Saskatchewan defensive end Justin Capicciotti doesn’t care what Calgary’s pivot has to say and he’s ready to see him Saturday.

The Riders were in striking distance—four points down—until the Stamps ran off 16 straight points in the fourth quarter to win convincingly a week ago at McMahon Stadium. Saskatchewan has played much better at home than on the road and with Mitchell getting the full attention of anyone wearing green and white, expect Chris Jones’s group to be extremely fired up and focused on showing up Calgary’s QB.

    Line: Stampeders -6

Pick: Saskatchewan (Booo! hiss! *&^%$$#) ;)

CFL fines Roughriders $60K for roster violations
The Saskatchewan Roughriders were fined $60,000 on Thursday following a Canadian Football League completed investigation into alleged roster violations.

Saskatchewan also had its 2016 salary cap deduced in excess of $26,000 as part of the penalty.

The Roughriders were in violation of policies which prohibit practising with ineligible players, players participating in practice who are on the six-game injured list and having free agents practice with players who are under contact, according to a release.

"I am compelled to make decisions consistent with protecting the competitive balance within our league, the spirit of our rules and the integrity of our game," said commissioner Jeffrey Orridge. "The recent conduct, behaviour and activities of the Saskatchewan Roughriders have compromised the reputation of the CFL."

The CFL says their investigation spanned several weeks and included the league visiting team practices in Regina.

Riders proved they can't count to 12, should we really expect them to count to 46? Now what....
