NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans VooDoo have been assigned former LSU and Jacksonville State quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, the League office announced today.
Perrilloux (6-3, 210, LSU) was a nationally-heralded recruit and USA Today Offensive Player of the Year coming out of East St. John High School in 2005 after totaling 12,705 yards of offense and 155 touchdowns in his high school career. Considered the top quarterback prospect of the 2005 recruiting class, Louisiana’s Mr. Football and Gatorade Player of the Year signed to play college football for Les Miles and LSU.
As a sophomore in 2007, Perrilloux started two games at LSU in place of an injured Matt Flynn, guiding the team to victory in the SEC Championship game against Tennessee and a berth in the BCS National Championship against Ohio State. The following season, Perrilloux transferred to Jacksonville State University, where he led JSU to an 8-3 season while passing for 2,199 yards. As a senior in 2009, Perrilloux was named Ohio Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Year.
After going undrafted in the 2010 NFL Draft, Perrilloux earned a tryout with the Minnesota Vikings before signing a reserve/future contract with the New York Giants in 2011. He also spent time with the Calgary Stampeders of the CFL.

Really weird run of QBs for LSU. After JaMarcus Russell then it was Matt Flynn then Ryan Perrilloux then Jarrett Lee then Jordan Jefferson.
