Allen Cameron with a great article on the brutal injury J'Micheal suffered and his return to the Stamps' lineup this year. Can't wait to see him back. Read more: http://www.calgaryherald.com/sports/Dea ... story.html
After the foot surgery I had on April 5th, I can certainly relate to what Deane went thru. The healing process is excruciatingly slow. Like Deane, I have three screws in my right foot as well as other hardware. For him to come back, basically 7 months later is amazing. He still has some healing to do from the sounds of it. I wish him the best.
He's a courageous young player and one of the favourite stories I followed last year with the Stampeders. His heart and desire took him over to the d-line partway through the season when the club was thin there as a result of injuries, until injuries took him out of there, and entirely off the playing field, himself. But while he was there, he was all try, and he acquitted himself quite well for a novice at a new position in the professional ranks. I hope his comeback is successful and his level of play this year spectacular! J'Michael Deane is exactly the kind of guy I want on my team... TM
Absolutely correct. Total team guy. I just hope he can come back healthy & isn't rushing things too fast.
You've had a few surgeries of late haven't you? Good to see Deane back up and running. Hopefully you will be soon too my friend.
Nope. Just this one which is enough, thank you very much!!! I also have a knee that needs to be taken care of at some point in the next year or two but nothing like this. First time I had an extended stay in the hospital since 1981. I can certainly relate to what Deane went thru.
Oh my mistake, I thought you had a knee surgery already! Maybe that was Rids... ? Or who knows, maybe just someone from GSG. I think Childress has... By the way, my last extended stay in the hospital was around the same time, 1982. It was for slightly different reasons though. For one thing they had to spank me to get me breathing...
