Jeff Fuller will not return to the Stamps

    No real surprise here, but it looks like the Stampeders will part ways with receiver Jeff Fuller. While Fuller is very talented and has great size, if you can't stay healthy then it does the team no good; plus with the emergence of our solid Canadian receivers, there needed to be a change.

    Stamps appear to be moving on from receiver Fuller


    Around this time one year ago, the Calgary Stampeders were trying to figure out how they were going to divvy up one football between a host of capable receivers.
    What a difference 12 months makes.

    Eric Rogers took his 87 receptions, 1,448 yards and 10 touchdowns to the NFL, turning his lone full campaign of CFL production into a lucrative deal with the San Francisco 49ers.
    Now, 48 hours or so ahead of the free-agent market opening Tuesday morning at 10 a.m., it seems Jeff Fuller will be following Rogers, maybe not to the NFL but at least out the door.
    Once seen as — at minimum — a future CFL star, Fuller burst onto the scene late in the 2013 season, flashing an enviable combination of size and speed that most expected would eventually earn him another NFL look.

    But while there have been productive stretches — his nine-reception, 148-yard game in the season-opening Grey Cup rematch with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last year in Week 1 had the league buzzing — injuries have held Fuller back.
