Kyle Walters had been the Bombers permanent GM for only a few hours, and already the team’s head coaching situation was hurtling its way towards a conclusion.
The Bombers are talking to Toronto Argonauts special teams co-ordinator Mike O’Shea and Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterbacks coach Khari Jones, and sources close to the team say they are the “clubhouse leaders” to become the club’s new head coach and offensive co-ordinator, respectively.

All of this makes Toronto and interesting place next year. If all these coaches leave town do they make the surprise change and protect Collaros and call it a rebuilding year?

Looks like O'Shea will be the new Captain of the Titanic Coach of the Bombers.

    TSN article on same lead:

    Report: Bombers to hire O'Shea

Another CFL head coaching vacancy has been filled up by another former Toronto Argonauts assistant, as multiple sources tell TSN Radio 1290's Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press that Mike O'Shea will be named head coach of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

The first step back to respectability?

Or was that Monday's news? ;)

I'm a big fan of Mike O'Shea as an individual. I'm sure there will be some growing pains and a learning curve there but hopefully the whole group of them (Trio Grande the GM and the new coaching staff) will have a little time to gel.

I'm sure Winnipeg will give them time to "gel", Rids.

After all, this is a community where, for a lot of years, everything concerning that football squad has literally been allowed to "congeal"....;)

When you don't put the shovel down, the hole only gets deeper.

As I posted on riderfans yesterday (when prompted for a nickname)

I'm pretty stoked for the bombers, given they've brought in some football men this time NOT retired senior barristas (JoJo Mack), etc., Timid Burke, Barf Buchko, Osama Don'tBuildIt, etc.

But if he can't get the player's cupboard re-stocked, have to rely on Slappy Maxxy Hall at QB and the 310 pylons on our current o-line, starts to snipe with media and fans - he'll be known as

    Mike "Kelly" O'Shea

You are right but this franchise really can not afford another screw up.

Only lost $800,000 this year. Biggest crowds counts in franchise history, huge sale of advertising and promotions (Buchko's specialty). I suspect the losses are well over a million but in accounting parlance "they carried some of the trash forward"
