    Knee injuries were a big part of Na’Shan Goddard’s life last year.

    After claiming a starting offensive tackle spot of out camp last spring in his first season with the Calgary Stampeders, the 6-foot-5, 315-pounder suffered an ACL tear in just his sixth start of the season.

    He wasn’t alone.

    When he returned to his home in Columbia, S.C., to rehab the ripped-up right knee at his alma matter, South Carolina, Goddard was privy to one of the most gruesome knee injuries ever seen, when he watched from the stands as Gamecocks running back Marcus Lattimore crumpled to the turf with his knee a twisted mess against Tennessee in late October.
