The Calgary Stampeders have signed international offensive linemen Nila Kasitati and Josue Matias.

Here is more information on the additions:

Kasitati attended training camp with the NFL’s Washington Redskins in 2016. He later joined the Jacksonville Jaguars’ practice squad. In college, Kasitati made 25 starts in 42 games over four seasons at Oklahoma. As a senior in 2015, he started all 13 games at right guard for the Sooners and was named first-team all-Big 12.

Matias spent the 2015 season on the Tennessee Titans’ practice squad and was placed on the injured reserve list in 2016. Collegiately, he played 47 games over four seasons at Florida State. A fixture at left guard, he became just the fifth true freshman in Seminoles history to start a game on the offensive line and he earned all-Atlantic Coast Conference recognition in 2012 (honourable mention), 2013 (third team) and 2014 (second team). He was part of the Seminoles’ BCS national championship team during his junior season.
