    CALGARY – With training camp just around the corner, takes a team-by-team look back at an off-season with trades, personnel changes and key signings.

    Losing the one game that would have ultimately awarded them the Grey Cup, the Stamps entered the off-season coming off an impressive regular season and a spectacular post-season run.

    December 2012

    The Stamps’ all-star punter Rob Maver was granted an extension on December 10 keeping him from free agency. Maver was set to become a free agent in February, but after a league-leading net punting average of 36.2 yards in 2012, the Stamps couldn’t allow the Canadian to hit the open market.

    Just a day later, the Stamps inked DL Corey Mace who was also set to become a free agent. Mace was one of only three defensive players to start all 21 regular season and playoff games for the Stampeders in 2012. Mace was an important contributor to a Stamps team that finished in the top half in most significant league defensive categories.
