Looking forward to hearing all about this!

It's my first season away from Calgary HS football since...the fall of 1983 when my older brother played his first game for James Fowler.

I must say that I'm looking forward to seeing good results from my alma mater, like that schedule! - http://www.itsportnet.com/league.php?sc ... eamID=5995

    Tonight's Div 1 schedule:

Thu., Sep 20 4:30 pm Shouldice-Hellard Field Bishop Grandin vs Central Memorial
Thu., Sep 20 4:30 pm Shouldice-Stampeder Field Centennial vs Notre Dame
Thu., Sep 20 6:30 pm Shouldice-Encana Field Western Canada vs Bishop O'Byrne
Thu., Sep 20 6:30 pm Shouldice-Stampeder Field Henry Wise Wood vs St. Francis

    One Div 2 game:
Thu., Sep 20 4:30 pm Shouldice-Encana Field North John Diefenbaker vs William Aberhart

So head down to Shouldice and take in a pair of games. While it may not generate the huge crowds like Texas having all the games in one spot is FANTASTIC for a cheap night out enjoying some football. Game no good? Just walk across to the second one and then hang around for a sweet double header every time!

These rankings... Just how do they come up with ND ranked fourth? Now we have national rankings, good grief. ND is a good team but fourth in Canada? There are so many things I'd like to or could say but prudence tells me not to.

It's a mix of roster, how they finished last year, and how the games have gone so far. Notre Dame hasn't allowed a point yet in Calgary.

Anybody know what happened with the James Fowler-Bowness game? Bowness won by default I guess.

    St. Timothy 0 - 47 St. Mary's

Lots of great football being played so far this season. I thought the parity would be a bit stronger but still lots of good match-ups each week. Tomorrow night features a repeat of last year's Div I final. Something tells me the Pride will get their revenge, they look nearly unbeatable so far this season. Never count out MacCready's squad though - here's a link to a profile I posted last night. He's got a neat story. http://krammag.com/profiled/2243/

Just posted a profile on St. Francis QB Boston Rowe along with some comments on the Browns championship drought. Their biggest test is this week when they face the Pride on Friday night. Tough to see anyone beating the Pride, but the two teams did agree to play the games on the St. Francis' 50th anniversary so who knows what will happen.

I'm guessing by virtue of other teams losing but St. Francis has moved up to #20 on the National Top 25 Poll after that forfeit win over Western. Notre Dame sits #2 in the country and has floated around near the top all year long.

I wonder why the Browns are above the Warriors? Not that there's much difference between the two but the Warriors did get the better of the Browns earlier this season.
