I heard that the Saskatchewan teams are getting their games broadcast on tape delay or something? That's pretty progressive!

The Okotoks Outlawz team had a very tough first road trip as a franchise up in Edmonton.

They made the trip up with the bare minimum 18 players, lost 7 players in the first half to injuries and subsequently were forced to call the game at the half.

Growing pains for a brand new team, hopefully they can recruit some more players to fill their team out.

Injury bug bites Outlawz road debut

If it wasn’t for bad luck the Okotoks Lady Outlawz wouldn’t have any luck at all.

The Outlawz’ first road trip as a franchise was one they would soon like to forget as Okotoks’ injury riddled campaign took a turn for the worse leading to a halftime forfeit versus the Edmonton Storm on Sunday.

“We lost seven girls to injuries and were down to 11 players,” Outlawz defensive co-ordinator Rick Crawford said. “Football is a really tough sport and because we’re a new team I think some of the girls are shocked how physical it is.”
