From WesternWheel.com The first CFL draft pick in Holy Trinity Academy Knights’ football history had a tough decision to make when he got the call from his near home-town Calgary Stampeders. What the heck was he going to have for lunch? “I was on lunch break in Saskatoon when I got a text message from one of my buddies telling me I was drafted,” said 21-year-old Charlie Power. “A couple of minutes later I got a call from the Stampeders and I was ecstatic. It was a dream come true.” Power, a 2009 Holy Trinity Academy (HTA) grad, was selected in the fourth round, 28th pick overall, of the CFL entry draft by the Stampeders on May 6. Power played slotback for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies last season after three years at linebacker. He will likely be trying out for another position when he reports to rookie camp on May 28 at McMahon Stadium.
