    GAME DAY!

Make a prediction and talk about what we're going to see tonight.

I'd like to see Tate start and play the fist half or so. Short of that, I just hope nobody gets hurt and they put on a good show.

Holy crap, great preview Stamps Rule!!! Perhaps we should put you on payroll just to do these up for us! (If you've always wanted to see more zeros on your paycheck, well, you're in luck, there are only zeros. ;))

Since the score is impossible to predict in preseason and doesn't matter a lick, I'm not going to bother.

I agree with you on Tate. I want to see where he's at in game action. I want to see the progress he's made since last year, how much stronger he is, his confidence level, etc.

The other guys I'm very anxious to see are the players who will potentially make up the front seven of our defense. That was the Achilles heal of our defense last year. Sure injuries played a role but the play of our linebackers and defensive linemen simply wasn't good enough.

Specifically I want to see Chris McCoy show signs that he will emerge as the pass rush force we've been so desperately lacking for several years now.

I want to see that WIL linebacker Malik Jackson is fully recovered from his concussion and back to flying around making tackles the way he did in 2010.

Different injury I know, but I want to see the same from Juwan Simpson and MLB.

Barring that, I want to see the guys behind them (Joe Lobendahn, Robert McCune, etc.) show they're ready to take over.

How is Demitrice Morley going to handle the move from safety to SAM linebacker? The guy is very athletic and has big upside. He was physical as a safety and was used on a lot of blitzes so I'm not worried about his ability to play near the line of scrimmage. I'm more worried about his ability to turn and run with a receiver. It's different as a safety, you survey the action then fly to the football. I'm confident that he has the athletic ability to do it, but there will be a learning curve.

My other big question mark on defense is who will step into Keon Raymond's vacated halfback spot? I really want to see someone emerge. Last year I felt we had the strongest halfback tandem in the league and I'm just hoping we won't see to much of a fall off.

But back to the other side of the ball, I just hope the offensive line doesn't get any more nicked up. We need them getting healthy. The last thing I want to see is any more injuries. I think they'll be just fine as a unit if they can stay on the field.

I'll be making the trek from Edmonton to Lethbridge during the game so I'll be eagerly listening to Mark Stephen's radio broadcast. It should be fun to finally find out just what we've got.

I am so ready for football season. Enjoy the game!

Who all is headed to the game?

I'll be there, but I might be late by a quarter or so.

Burke Dales put a single on the board and that's all the scoring so far. Good reports on Matt Nichols moving the ball.

Rob Maver with the tackle! Anything to win the spot.

End of the first and it's 1-0 Oilers.

Sounds like Edmonton is using Nate Coehoorn a fair bit here early. Shamawd Chambers also has a catch.

The CFL GameTracker has frozen up so I'm not going to quote any stats at the quarter pole.

Stamps pick off Matt Nichols who was looking for Chambers.

Sounded like Bennett with the pick.

Pick 6 by the Eskimos....with a flag. Gives the PA a chance to play a little Elvis!

Official call is - Unnecessary Roughness after the play on Hugo Lopez.

So Drew Tate's last throw of the game will be an INT. In comes Kevin Glenn.

Working around the house and it's not 11-3 Eskimos after they traded FGs.

    11-6 game.

Edmonton radio crew has good things to say about Kevin Glenn and how he's managed his portion of the game. Sounds like the Glenn to Bauman connection has re-gained their Hamilton timing.

Not to mention the Glenn to Bryant connection.

Tate did not look impressive. Nichols looked better than Tate.

Drew Tate was 6 of 12 for 66 yards with 1 INT.

I understand that Hufnagel probably had things scripted out for the pre-season game but I would imagine that Drew would've liked to get out there for another toss after that INT.

So Rob Maver hits the upright from 25 but then nails a 50 yarder?

Masoli back in for Edmonton. I believe that incomplete pass makes him 2 for 8. I'll stay quiet......

End of 3 and it's 11-9 Edmonton. Masoli is now 3 of 10 passing.

Sack and a fumble, recovered by the 2011 Draft Pick Scott Mitchell for Edmonton.

    Looking at numbers here:

Bo Levi Mitchell 7 of 9 passing for 76 yards
Kevin Glenn 8 of 11 passing for 73 yards

Bo is still in the game so his numbers will change.

14-9 thanks to a Grant Shaw FG. With 11 minutes or so to go in the 4Q.
