North Korean television announced that its Pyongyang traffic control girls can now be deployed via airdrop. Apparently the platforms they stand on can be dropped from an airplane, and glide down to earth via the large parasol that is also used to shade the traffic control agent. The location of the landing is controlled via GPS, and the traffic girl remains fastened to the platform via her steel soled shoes and an electromagnet in the base.

I'm checking the date to see if it is April 1st, but it's not. Pretty funny using the term, 'shock & awe" as well as "Today we control the intersections of our country. Tomorrow the world!!" No other country has this technology. The North Koreans have a huge advantage because of it. Dear leader has a great sense of humour. He'd be great in a college dorm. This is what happens when a country's nuclear weapons program falls on hard times. ;)

You guys do realize this was a put-on with dubbed captions, right?

First clue: the North Koreans have no sense of humour.

Second clue: they don't refer to anything from the western world in that xenophobic society (I can virtually guarantee they've never even heard of the term "shock and awe")

    No other clues needed...

Unless you can translate Korean, I wouldn't be so sure.

Ever watched the "Vice Guide" to North Korea. It's eye opening as to what these people claim to have done.

I wouldn't put it past the Great Leader to take credit for portable traffic girls.

The Norks think that dear leaders birth was foretold by a swallow, and heralded by the appearance of a double rainbow across the sky over the mountain and a new star in the heavens.

I'm not putting this past them.

If there was someone who could translate Korean here, we would know for sure, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Ha, ha, I know it's a ruse but I was commenting on more how the people of North Korea would believe it. ;)
