Very hard task but I'll try

    1. Sara Orlesky - hard to argue against the lithe Ms. O; she's everything you want in a reporter, organized, prepared and very presentable - most of the athletes apparently respect her, too!

    2. Holly Horton - the tall (6'0") TSN presenter is currently on leave from the sportsdesk.

    3. Husky Voice - the blonde bombshell who's been around almost as long as Michael Landsbergh.

    4. The Baronness, Kate Beirness - decent presentation, alway enthusiastic, good command of sports lingo - just that she reminds of Chuckee, the bad puppet from the horror movie series!

    5. Katherine Dolan - doesn't see much desk duty but the ex-teacher has learned her craft and is a decent presenter both home and away.

    6. (Tie) - Dan O'Toole & Mikey Landsbergh - these girls are on an awful lot on the TSN card; management must like 'em, huh?

    7. In the Bullpen, waiting for someone to blow it - Leah Hextall from CTV Sports in Winnipeg.

    8. Natasha Staniziewskcyi - legendary pinup girl looks, she's easily the best-looking female sports gal in Canada but her delivery is very flat and almost devoid of emotion. (She's the only one capable of going to an american network, ESPN, Golf Channel, CBS Sports, etc. but they'd have to do a ton of work on her presentation to bring her up to snuff with current top women like Mary Carillo, Kelly Tilghman, Doris Burke, etc.)

Can we include Jay Onrait? He's kinda girlish.

Actually, Onrait is making regular appearances on TSN1290 radio in Wpg. and he's actually quite funny. He said his goal on TSN is to be anti-ESPN sports centre and thats why he and Dan O'Foole mock TV so much and don't really work the scores. Onrait was also a guest on Jim Rome's radio show a couple weeks back but the host wasn't Rome, it was the radio comics Sklar Brothers.

The only other Canadian announcer Rome has ever had as a guest is Donald S. Cherry. Romie had Grapes on last week from LA but Grapes had blown out his voicebox and could barely express himself.

Well, we have a couple of sportscasters here on CHQR radio that when they do Sportstalk at 6 pm together it's almost unlistenable. They laugh at each others jokes, one guy like to make funny noises, both yell a lot in one upmanship, they tell personal stories about themselves thinking they are amusing even though nobody gives a damn. On & on... Thing is, they aren't funny. I can take a bit of fooling around on the air but in the end, I want to hear the sports stories of the day, not 2 guys acting like clowns for 2 hours.

There names aren't Cam Carson & Jim 'The Anvil' Toth are they?

Those two pieces of vomit were pitted up against TSN1290's Hussler & Lawless when TSN got the Jets and stole Hussler & Lawless from CJOB....Bob Irving immediately gap-filled the breach but he was worn out pretty quick, trying to match TSN's exclusive interview and guest schedules (TSN peeps won't do CJOB anymore so Irving had to go out and get guys like CBC's Scott Oake, etc. to do his shows)

The laughing and giggling show hosts are just excuses for guys who don't know a ton about sports and are trying to cover it up!

Also forget to pay hommage to TSN's Sherri Forde who does a very workmanlike job at whatever assignment she's handed.
