Join Mark Stephen on CHQR Sportstalk at 7:05 tonight where he will talk with Stamps defensive co-ordinator, Rick Campbell.

Will be a good opportunity to hear some insight on the plans/direction from the man himself.

Summary and notes are always appreciated.

Little bit of info from the interview:

    - A lot of good players that have proved they can win - not a complete rebuild
    - Good to have competition at camp
    - Juwan will do fine, good leader
    - Always good to add good football players in regards to Joe Lobendahn, (worked with Joe in '09)
    - Had a chance to attend FA camp in Florida and met players in person prior to camp
    - Tough with only 2 pre-season games and a short camp - got info early to new players so they are ready to go for camp
    - Wants to make sure the players fully understand the new system
    - QBs are too good now - cannot be too simple as a defense - have to be able to do different things
    - We'll do interesting things
    - Players have to know exactly what they are doing (this was repeated many times throughout the interview, get the feeling this was really missing in the last couple of years)
    - Cannot give up the "home run ball"
    - Will rush enough guys to give D linemen a chance
    - Ameet Pall was best player available and filled a need, (pass rusher and can play special teams), expecting big things from him
    - Core group of DBs will handle the transition of a new year, but new guys will push them
    - Eric Fraser and Demetrius Morley will be prominent guys and will definitely have an opportunity to make an impact on the defense
    - Isaac signing in TO won't really change things - other guys already here have similar skill sets
    - Devon Claybrooks has all the right qualities to be a good coach
    - Mace looked good in offseason
    - Excited about "newness" of D

Good interview and really good to hear Rick's attitude.
