BLUE JACKETS SEND NASH TO RANGERS IN BLOCKBUSTER TRADE

I don't know if I'd call this a "Blockbuster", but seeing Erixon sent to the BJs is like early Christmas.

So the BJs land Artem Anisimov, Brandon Dubinsky, Tim Erixon, and a first round pick in exchange for Nash? Is that what they've been holding out all this time for? Do they not realize that the careers of all these players will die in the hockey black hole that is Columbus? :p

Erixon is now seeing the NHL like he never thought possible. I wonder if he's having fun. The one team he wanted to play for didn't want him...

Why such a crappy return for Nash?

Hell's yeah! How's that for hilarious poetic justice? And not only is he going to a horrible team that just got worse, he's going to a team whose one strength is depth of great young defensive prospects. I have a strong suspicion he may get lost in that mix. And even if he doesn't, he may wish he had.

I don't know. Based on his track record, I honestly expected more from GM Scott Howsen.

Piz, the guy already reached his upside potential. Hasn't shown he can lead a team & make it better. Huge paycheque for an underperformer... No teams were that interested. Clearly, the CBJ had to make a deal & that was it.
