    aka: BANJO BOWL

Pretty certain (around 85%) that this degenerates into a horribly embarrassing loss for Mike O'Smirk and his tattered coaching legacy.

Bombers were broken by that last minute 75 yd drive the Riders perpetrated on a stunned bomber defense last week. Their spirits were broken, so was their confidence.

    This week the bombers will have nearly 1/2 of their starting roster out with either injuries, suspensions or poor play;

Brando Alexander (DB), Andrew Harris (RB), Mutt Nichols (QB), Jackerson Jeffcoat (DE), Nic Demski (WR), Chris Matthews (Traded), The Irish Bull, Paddy Neufeld (OG), Cody Speller (C), Yucky Whitehead (WR/KR), Chad Rempel (LS), Mercy Matson (DB) plus a few others the usually paranoid O'Shea is waiting to announce just prior to game-time. It also appears Bomber overpaid superstar MLB has lost at least a step (if not more) and is no longer a mega-force in the bomber's defense.

Bombers are planning to stifle Cody Fajardo (Rider QB) spin moves with strategy. They tried that the last time - and Fajardo beat them 7 times out of 8 on the spin-o-rama.

This game will take a different tone.

Look for bombers non-passing QB Chris Streveler to pass for over 200 yds (totally incapable of more) but his running totals will diminish to under 65 yds.

Bombers will take several stupid penalties (an increasing O'Shea specialty) and will be punished on special teams and punting (Johnny Puntface aka Jon Ryan) will outpunt Justin Medlock by at least 15-17 yds a kick.

Tag in O'Shea's unfocused yelping on the sidelines, Richie Hall falling asleep at different points during the affair and PLOP (bomber OC Paul LaPolice) joining in with O'Shea on the Nutbar Express.

Look for Bombers to continue their slow (but sure) slide into the abyss.

    Riders 39
    Bombers 20

Riders jut into 1st in West and hand bombers their 4th loss, also win the season series.

What say you now, good sir? :p

Methinks the Bombers of Blue must be able to do something right...;)

Mayhaps even their most harsh critic must have found something in their efforts this day to be worthy of at least slight praise...? :D

So much for that game analysis, eh?
Pretty much the total reverse of everything I yapped.

A wonderful game played by bombers in front of a capacity crowd of nearly 40,000 at IGF Field at the University of Manitoba.

Winnipeg retains tops in west, now 10-3

About 4,000 farmhands heading back to their land of eternal promise on their broken down John Deere tractors. Should be home by Xmas, ma. Should be home by Xmas. LOL

Everything went beautifully in Winnipeg today. Bombers pasted the hated Riders by 25 pts. Bianca overpowered the American Beast-Princess Serena Williams in 2 straight sets and Brian "Lurch" Pallister, the 6'10" premier of Manitoba is poised to win another term as Premier this Monday, albeit a significantly reduced majority, perhaps even Minority govt.

Heating up is an understatement. Mighty Mutt Nichols was infuriated by the Bombers big win last nite - he's got a $450,000 salary riding on Chris Streveler coming to a conclusion. If Strevs continues to win - Mutt Nichols is an afterthought and will be sentenced to life in gridiron hell (aka a spot as an Ottawa Redblack quarterback)

Bombers, barring a total collapse in this final 6 games should be able to hang onto #1 spot in the West. Regina & Calgary should claw each other for the #2 spot. Edmonton appears resigned to a chasedown with the almighty Argos for the crossover spot. Toronto apparently not finished cuz MBT (MacBeth Thompson) is the real deal.

Bombers need to go 4-2 in their final half dozen games to insure 1st in W.

3-3 might only be good enough for a tie with Sask or Calgary and a tie-break formula ensures.

2-4 will only guarantee 3rd in west

    1-5 guarantees only a crossover

    0-6 and its 1990 all over again - 29 yrs and counting . . . .

So just so I've got this straight, in a period of 24 hours and 20 minutes, your predictive stance on the Bombers' fate has swung from having them "...continue their slow (but sure) slide into the abyss" into they "...should be able to hold onto #1 spot in the West" ?

Is that it? Have I got it?

    Just answer the question.

And the change in your position came about on the basis of the results of one game?

    Just answer the question.

At the time you made each of those statements, did you make both of them while purporting that each of them should be taken to be a true reflection of your actual beliefs about the issue?

Because they both can't be true, can they?

    Just answer the question.

So which one of them was, or is, not true?

Sorry, I did not hear your answer.

Were you knowingly lying then, or are you lying now?

For the record, having answered the question with his silence, the witness is now excused...:p

    Good morning your honour,

The accused has been scarred so often by his home team - he now suffers from profound FLIP-FLIP SYNDROME.

He is NOT LYING. BUT he is clearly DELUSIONAL.

We recommend therapy and a regime of self-worth restoring medications. (a list will be provided to the court)

    In the interim . . . .
