Calgary Stampeders lose Mace in Game 1 win
It’s too early to push the panic button, but the Calgary Stampeders could have lost a key cog during Friday’s Week 1 CFL win over the B.C. Lions.

Defensive tackle Corey Mace will see a doctor and undergo an MRI this week to determine the extent of a shoulder injury he suffered in the season-opener.

Inspired performance: Cornish comes up big vs. BC
After running for 172 yards and two touchdowns on Friday, Jon Cornish said he wished he could have done more.

Cornish led the Calgary Stampeders to a 44-32 win over the visiting B.C. Lions on Friday in front of 26,625 fans at McMahon Stadium.

Stampeders give Calgarians a reason to smile

But the Calgary mayor received an ovation louder than any football player Friday prior to kickoff for the 2013 Stampeders season-opener against the B.C. Lions.
