The Calgary Stampeders have added four players to their practice roster — national defensive back Chris Rwabukamba, international defensive back Jarrett Bush, international receiver Jarrett Boykin and international offensive lineman Mitchell Van Dyk. Chris Rwabukamba #27 Defensive back College: Duke Height: 5.11 Weight: 192 Born: Jan. 5, 1987 National Rwabukamba (pronounced Ruh-buh-kahm-buh) has 67 games of CFL experience over five seasons and has 79 tackles, 20 special-teams tackles, three interceptions, seven knockdowns, three forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and one sack to his credit. He was drafted by Hamilton in the fourth round (27th overall) in 2010 and played with the Ticats in 2011 and 2012. He was with the Edmonton Eskimos in 2013 and 2014 and the BC Lions in 2015. In college, Rwabukamba spent four seasons (2007-10) at Duke and played 45 games. He recorded 123 tackles, including 7.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, one sack and one forced fumble for the Blue Devils. Rwabukamba was born in Rwanda but his family moved to the U.S. when he was three years and then to Windsor, Ont., when he was six. Jarrett Bush #17 Defensive back College: Utah State Height: 6.00 Weight: 200 Born: May 21, 1984 International Bush played 137 games over nine seasons (2006-14) with the NFL’s Green Bay Packers and recorded 179 tackles, four interceptions, 1.5 sacks and two forced fumbles. He played in 22 games during two seasons at Utah State and earned all-Western Athletic Conference honours in 2005. Bush started his collegiate career at American River (Calif.) Junior College. Jarrett Boykin #82 Receiver College: Virginia Tech Height: 6.02 Weight: 215 Born: Nov. 4, 1989 International Boykin spent three seasons (2012-14) with the Green Bay Packers, playing 39 games and making 57 catches for 731 yards and three touchdowns. He attended training camp with the Carolina Panthers in 2015 and signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2016. He played four seasons (2008-11) at Virginia Tech and had 184 catches for 2,884 yards and 18 touchdowns. Upon graduation, he was the Hokies’ all-time leader in both catches and receiving yards. Mitchell Van Dyk #67 Offensive lineman College: Portland State Height: 6.07 Weight: 299 Born: Jan. 2, 1991 International Van Dyk was selected in the seventh round (226th overall) by the St. Louis Rams in the 2014 NFL draft, was with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015, and attended training camp with the Indianapolis Colts in 2016. Van Dyk played four seasons at Portland State (2010-13) and saw action in 37 games while making 31 starts. He was first-team all-Big Sky Conference as a senior as he was part of an offensive line that allowed the Vikings to establish school records for total yards (6,486) and rushing yards (3,330). He was all-conference honourable mention in 2012 while being named Portland State’s most outstanding offensive lineman.
