Calgary first signed Manning as a free agent on Sept. 15, 2015, and he spent the remainder of the season on the practice roster. Upon his release, he joined the New Orleans Saints on Aug. 6, 2015, and was released following the pre-season.

In four seasons at Northwest Missouri State (2011-14), Manning had 10 interceptions and helped guide the Bearcats to the NCAA Division II national championship in 2014. With 32 tackles, 10 pass break-ups, two forced fumbles and an interception returned for a touchdown in 2014, Manning was named an all-Mid America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) second-team all-star.
