Calgary first signed Manning as a free agent on Sept. 15, 2015, and he spent the remainder of the season on the practice roster. After attending 2015 mini-camps with the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs of the NFL, Manning was signed by the Green Bay Packers on May 21, 2015. Upon his release, he joined the New Orleans Saints on Aug. 6, 2015, and was released following the pre-season.

In four seasons at Northwest Missouri State (2011-14), Manning had 10 interceptions and helped guide the Bearcats to the NCAA Division II national championship in 2014. With 32 tackles, 10 pass break-ups, two forced fumbles and an interception returned for a touchdown in 2014, Manning was named an all-Mid America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) second-team all-star.

Pinkston played two seasons (2013-14) at Florida International, dressing for a total of 17 games during that period. Prior to joining the Panthers, he played two seasons at Dean College. In 2012, he was a first-team conference all-star and was an honourable mention junior college all-American.

Williams played four seasons at South Alabama and made 28 starts over his final three seasons (2012-14) with the Jaguars. He was second-team all-Sun Belt Conference as a junior in 2013. He was a college teammate of Stampeders linebacker Maleki Harris.
