Improbable as a first place showdown with the Lions in October appeared to be after the disastrous mauling they suffered in a game with them in late July at McMahon, the Stampeders still have their fate in the standings entirely in their own hands.
And they can still do it.
Starting Saturday night out on the coast.
Provided they're not reading Chris Schultz's prognostications...
I don't see it happening. The Stampeders have struggled against the both the Lions offense and defense for a couple of years now. I expect Harris to have a big day on offense and Bighill to have a big day on defense as the Lions blow out the Stampeders.
I guess we'll find out.
That's why they play the game.
Last year's loss was so close. That game pretty much made the Lions' season. Comeback karma perhaps favors the stamps.
I there is one thing guaranteed in the CFL it is that any team can beat any team on any given day.
Saskatchewan handled BC pretty good last week, Stamps by 7.
