The Calgary Stampeders have signed a pair of defensive linemen – national Ben D’Aguilar and international Reuben Frank.

Here is more information on the additions:

    Ben D’Aguilar
    Defensive lineman

This is the second stint in Calgary for D’Aguilar, who played a total of 49 regular-season games with the Stamps from 2013-16. A second-round CFL draft selection by the Stamps in 2013, D’Aguilar recorded four defensive tackles including one tackle for loss, 35 special-teams tackles, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries over four CFL seasons.

Prior to turning pro, D’Aguilar starred at McMaster University, winning the J.P. Metras Trophy as the top lineman in Canadian university football in 2012. He was named all-Canadian the same year and set a CIS single-season record with 12.5 sacks. D’Aguilar was part of the Marauders’ Vanier Cup championship season in 2011.

Frank played seven games for the Edmonton Eskimos in 2016, recording six tackles including one tackle for loss and one sack. In his CFL debut against Ottawa in Week 1, he blocked a Chris Milo punt and recovered it in the end zone for a touchdown.

He amassed 50 tackles including 7.5 tackles for loss to go with three sacks and two pass breakups after making the switch to the other side
of the ball. On offence, he had 12 catches for 38 yards.
