Two issues (and I'll write more later):

#1 with NFL Draft moving to May there is a player issue both with the undrafted free agents that come to the CFL and with the Canadians available for the NFL Draft

#2 rainy conditions in the spring could make for soggy training camps

In the past I've suggested holding training camp in May with the regular season starting in June with 3 games and then stagger it so teams can play on Canada Day no matter when in the week that falls.

Or.... they could go back to a 16 game schedule, plus move up the season a couple of weeks.

shorter schedule does make for more exciting playoff races but i doubt it'll ever happen.

And brings more revenue. As I said it'll never happen.

Just do some co-ordinating. In Wpg its never a surprise that a Goldeye's or Jets game overlaps.

You'd think that they could make it work. I mean NHL Stanley Cup games are usually mid week with a Thursday/Friday night and Sunday afternoon game so fill up the Saturday schedule! No college football to fight on TV.
