We need leadership. I expect Juwan Simpson to do more as we cut Robert McCune over him. Telling the media he has to tackle better when he let players get away in key game situations in both Toronto & Montreal doesn't make me feel a whole lot better about the way he is playing. He is a veteran so he has to step up.
We also have to stop taking dumb penalties & stop listening to this "Doh!!" response from the players. It's all well & good for guys like Dmitri Tsoumpas to say they have to be more disciplined, well then do what you say youa re going to do & be that, more disciplined. If not, Huff has to hand out fines in the THOUSANDS of dollars, not hundreds... Like if you get thrown out of a game perhaps you forfeit your game cheque... Or don't lose your mind like Jon Gott did with 2 penalties on the same play, one play after Tsoumpas was chucked from the game.
Huff has always said he wanted more discipline, yet this team has always been near the top of the league in penalties. As a HC, he has to share the same responsibility as the players for their on field behaviour.
